"Horrible experience. 20 year SF client here. When I NEEDED assistance/guidance Wilson never returned my MANY calls. A SINGLE callback would’ve saved me a lot of money and headaches. His assistant (Maddie?) was great at trying. He, however, was LITERALLY always “in meetings and will call you (me) back”. Wilson unsuccessfully attempted to *sort-of* help me WAY after it was too late when i unfortunately had to get verbally pushy…of course he didn’t call me back to tell me this. I didn’t feel valued whatsoever. Wouldn’t recommend this specific agent to anyone. Read the MANY recent 1 star reviews."

"They really should offer the option of zero stars!! We have had Wilson Yarbrough as our State Farm agent for 5 years. We have never laid eyes on him, nor have we ever even heard his voice. We recently bought a camper and needed proof of insurance to complete the paperwork. The gal who answered took the information and she’d call me back with a quote. We called the next day and no one answered. Over the next few days we left 5 messages with no call backs and no one answered the phone. We had to delay the paperwork for our purchase. I finally called the corporate office and picked a prompt which sent me back to Wilson. I suspect since my number didn’t show up on caller ID, the gal answered. She said Wilson was on the phone and she’d have him call me back. I got quite cross with her and said I planned to call corporate to file a complaint if my request for a quote and proof of insurance wasn’t dealt with within 5 minutes. We were facing having to reschedule the paperwork signing yet again. She called me back in 7 minutes as I was working through the prompts at corporate. She said Wilson gave her the information we needed. Once our papers were signed and we had proof of insurance, the next day I called corporate to file a complaint and request a new agent. We were tempted to just dump State Farm and take our 8 policies to a different company, but I’ve been with State Farm since my parents added me to their policy when I was learning to drive in 1964. We are now with Kim Ruter in Charles City and couldn’t be happier."

"Had Insurance through Wilson Yarborough. Had a major claim. Tried calling several times. Was always told he would call us back. Never did. Never even talked to the man. It was always his receptionist. Went in to meet with him. Receptionist said he was on a phone call. Didn't care about us or our loss at all. Had to switch to a different agent to get help"

"Buyer Beware!
I cancelled all of my insurance with this office/company over 7 weeks ago because I didn't feel valued. I still have not received a $1000 refund. I can only imagine how long it would take to get a claim processed! At least 6 calls to the office, never got to speak to Wilson."

""Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there"... LITERALLY!!! When a horrific wind storm blew through last June, causing heartbreaking damage on my property, the first thing I thought of was to run across the street to tell my neighbor, because Wilson Yarbrough is my actual neighbor! I was very upset, but Wil was very reassuring, comforting and truly cared about what had happened. Every detail was handled swiftly and I am so thankful for State Farm and especially for having Wil and his family as my actual neighbors! Today, a situation presented that needed immediate attention. Thinking it could be taken care of first thing Monday, we still wanted to make Wil aware of the situation, so we contacted him. Wil felt the situation needed to be handled today, so he had team member Kain call us and within a few minutes Kain had everything in place, all questions answered and now the situation is resolved.... just like that! Kain made it very easy and effortless for us! Kain is very knowledgeable, reassuring and personable... just like a "good neighbor"!
